With a Premium baby website you have 10mb of storage available for uploading photos to your website (200+ photos), with a Free site this is limited to 3mb (60+ photos). Free sites are online for 1 month, Premium sites are online for 6 months. In addition Premium websites are free of all advertising, with a Free site discrete advertisements will appear on your site.
Yes of course. A Free website can be upgraded to a Premium website at any time. By logging in to the administration area of your website you can select the option to upgrade. After entering your payment details the upgrade process takes effect immediately, giving you the following benefits: removal of all ads from your site, increase in space for photo uploads to 10mb and extension of your website end date to 6 months from the date of upgrade.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro(previously Switch) and Solo cards online. Your card details are input on our secure webpage and passed directly to out payment service provider for processing of your payment. We do not store your card details on our site or our systems at any time.

No, you do not need any special computer skills to make changes to your babyannounce website, everything has been designed to be as simple as possible to use with popup help windows available wherever further explanation is needed.
Your baby website will have its own unique web address of your choice e.g. www.babyannounce.net/sara_jones which you can easily remember and pass on to family members and friends. The main 'home page' of your site consists of a photo of your choice along with baby's name, birthdate and weight and your greeting to visitors. The home page also contains a scrolling image gallery containing photos you choose to upload to your website. Any of these images can be clicked on to view enlarged on the home page. Your baby website will also contain a guestbook where visitors can leave their messages of congratulations. You can control whether entries to this guestbook are immediately viewable on the website or whether you approve them first before they appear on your website. Your website will also have a page where visitors can send you an email (your email address is not shown on the site) and a tell a friend page where visitors can send a link to your site to other people they think may be interested. Finally, your baby website will contain a diary (blog/journal) page where you can record baby's precious moments, day by day to share with your friends and family. You can of course password protect the whole of your site at any time. This password can also be removed or changed at any time.
As part of the sign-up process you will choose a password, this will allow you access to an administration area of your website where you alone can make changes. It is very easy to make changes to your website - no special skills are required. Any changes you make are reflected immediately in your babyannounce website.
You can amend baby's name, birthdate, weight and gender. You can amend the greeting to visitors on baby's homepage. You can add or delete images in baby's image gallery along with adding or modifying the captions on those images. You can approve or delete entries in baby's guestbook. You can add, amend or delete entries in baby's diary. Finally, you can add or remove password protection to baby's website.
Your changes will take effect immediately. However if you cannot see your changes immediately you may need to refresh your browser. Hold down the Shift key and click Reload or Refresh on the browser bar along the top of your browser (e.g. Internet Explorer or Firefox).

Your are free to amend your website as many times as you like!
You can add photos from your computer to your babyannounce website very simply in the admin area of your website. Our system will automatically resize your photos so that they fit neatly on your website and display quickly when your website is viewed. You can also specify a caption for each of your photos. Photos can be removed and new photos added at any time. Please note that although photos are resized to fit your website they are otherwise uploaded 'as is', if you need to rotate or edit a photo please do so before uploading.
For information on getting your photos onto your computer please consult your camera manufacturers instructions.
A Premium website has 10 megabytes of storage space for your photos, a Free website has 3mb. As your photos are automatically compressed and resized when you upload them this means that you would typically be able to upload well over 200 photos for a Premium site and 60 photos for a Free site before all your space has been used. You can of course delete photos to free up space at any time. If you choose to extend a Premium website subscription we will immediately add an additional 5 megabytes to the space available to you for image uploads (approx. 100 additional photos). Similarly by upgrading a Free website to a Premium website you will immediately be given 10 megabytes of storage space for your photos.
What's the size of the largest photo I can add to my website?
The maximum size photo you can upload to your website is 8mb (per photo). Our software will automatically resize the image to fit on your website and reduce the size of the file. Please be aware that large images may take some some time to upload depending on your internet connection. If you want to speed the upload of photos you can use your preferred image editing software to reduce the size of your photos before you upload them. To assist you with this please note that the maximum displayable image width is 420 pixels, the maximum height is 315 pixels.
You can sign-up for your babyannounce website now safe in the knowledge that all the details you enter can be changed later. The only important exception to this is baby's web address which cannot be changed later. If you do not yet know the name of baby you could choose a general web address such as smith_baby or alternatively purchase a gift voucher which can be used at anytime to obtain a baby website.
Your Premium babyannounce website will be available on the internet for a period of six months after you have signed up. At any time during that six months you can extend your subscription for a further six months at a cost of $19.99 US dollars (£11.99 in EU) Whenever you do this we will also add an additional 5 megabytes to the space available to you for image uploads (approx. 100 additional photos). This additional space is made available for you to use immediately regardless of whether your addtional subscription period has yet commenced.
Your Free babyannounce website will be on the internet for a period of one month after you have signed up. At any time during that month you can extend your website by upgrading your subscription to a Premium website at a cost of $24.99 US dollars (£14.99 in EU). This will extend your website for a further six months from the date of upgrade and give you the following additional benefits: removal of all ads from your site and an increase in space for photo uploads to 10mb. For a period of three months after your website subscription ends you will still be able to login to your website and order a CD or extend your subscription to bring the site back online.
Yes, you can order a CD copy of baby's website. Beautifully produced the CD is laser etched with your baby's name, birthdate and weight and contains a complete copy of your baby's website including all photos, guestbook and diary entries. You can order a CD at anytime during, or up to three months after your website subscription ends. To order, simply login to your website and select the 'Order a CD' option.
On the first page of the sign-up process you will be asked to enter your choice of baby web address, if this address has been taken already you will be told immediately and given a chance to choose an alternative.

Both types of Gift Voucher can be used at any time to obtain a Premium baby website. The Gift Voucher covers the full cost of the Premium baby website and so no payment or card details need to be entered when it is used to obtain a baby website. So, if you wish to purchase a website for a friend or family member this is the easy way to do it. You can simply pass the Gift Voucher on to them and they can use it online immediately to obtain a baby website.
You can choose to pass the address of your website to anyone you choose to allow them to view the site. We do not advertise your site in any way or provide a link from our site to yours - this enables your site to remain private to you and your friends and family. Premium websites do not contain advertisements. In order to be able to offer a Free website service we place discrete baby related ads on those sites. However we never use annoying pop up or pop under ads on your site. Of course you may upgrade your Free website to a Premium site at any time and the ads will be removed immediately.
